ACAB

ACAB In 2001 Bornholm's craftsmen established the "Arts & Crafts Association Bornholm", (ACAB) a quality-censored  group.

Today ACAB consists of 60 members, represented in the following categories - pottery, glass, textile, metal and wood.

ACAB has a permanent exhibition at Grønbechs Gaard, in Hasle, an attractive and inspiring centre for the crafts.
www.acab.dk is ACAB's internet portal where every member is represented with photos, a CV and a location map. Here one can find information on Grønbechs Gaard, Bornholm's crafts, coming exhibitions and a lot of other information.
ACAB also has an internal net (extranet). Here, members can exhange ideas, trade techniques and experience. Here, also is a forum where members can sign up for trade courses, computer courses,  study trips, collective projects, brochures, and exhibitions.
ACAB's highest goal is to develop itself  through joint activities; to make itself known outside of Bornholm, and Denmark, by promoting joint projects, and exhibitions.

Since we started in 2001 we've had many exhibitions:
Rundetaarn - summer 2001
Luxembourg - winter 2005
Herning - winter 2006
Frederikssund - spring 2006
Køge - winter 2006

We have made 2 study trips: Øland, Oct. 2004 and Berlin, Oct. 2005
